Head over Heels

Heidelburg
I know, I know...it has been a while, hasn't it?  Well this time I have a good excuse... the in-laws were here and we got to spend the last couple of weeks not only introducing them to little Landon but also to the wonder our small section of Europe has to offer.

Dropped in on Downtown Kaiserslautern where we enjoyed a traditional German dinner

Burg Eltz
Loaded up for Luxembourg and payed tribute to General Patton before meandering through the old city.

Hopped on over to Heidelburg to visit the castle and a nice Italian lunch!  We had a great time wondering the cobblestone streets and spending the day wondering around one of my favorite little spots!

Checked out Cologne.... with a side trip to Burg Eltz.  Although Landon and I opted to stay behind for this one (a little break from the car seat is a necessity when attempting to keep a traveling baby happy) I think it is safe to say that we missed a good time.

Neuschwanstein

Frolicked over to France for a visit to Strassbourg and one amazing cathedral!

Bustled down to Bavaria where they were able to conquer 3 countries in a day, caught a glimpse into the life of Kind Ludwig at Neuschwanstein Castle and Linderhof Palace, and enjoyed a somewhat foggy glimpse of the Alps
*Landon had lots of fun staying at the hotel, not only did he get to go swimming for the first(and second) time he got his first sink bath.... and how cute is that :)

Bath Time Baby!

Bounced over to Bad Durkheim for the world's largest wine festival... which is conveniently held in a little village about 30 min. away from our home :)  I think it is safe to say that this is the "Oktoberfest" for wine lovers and we had lots of fun enjoying our last day together taking in the delicious tastes of the German wine strasse!

Bad Durkheim

It was great to get to spend time with family and fun to introduce Landon to his Grandma and Grandpa Kahle..... I think it is safe to say they fell head over heels for our little monkey.  We are really blessed to get to share this experience with the people that we love and are thankful everyday for the opportunity to live this life!

I REALLY want to get back to posting at least 2x a month if not more.... so hopefully the next time you check back in there will be something new that catches your attention!!
