So I know that I promised you that my next adventure would be PARIS WITH THE PARENTS, however I hope you will not be disapointed with our little side trip to Trier Germany.
This little treasure is about an hours drive from our home and is commonly refered to as a second Rome....that might have a little something to do with larger than life Roman Ruins that are found scattered amoung its bustling streets.
Porta Nigra, City Gate: The largest surviving Roman city gate worldwide. Created with massive sandstone blocks held together not by mortar but by iron clamps embedded in lead.
Imperial Baths: If you felt a little sticky after watching the activities at the amphitheater all you had to do was head down the street to this modern marval. This structure is the fifth largest bath in the Roman empire. It is home to sports grounds, changing rooms, a cold water bath , hot water bath and tepid room (?) with walls up to 63ft high.
So now that we got that out of the way I can once again say that our next adventure will be PARIS WITH THE PARENTS (and If you can't tell I am a little excited!!)
